Light Shows and Cat Calls

I never have to leave home to enjoy wonderful scenery here in San Miguel de Allende. All I have to do is sit on my balcony any time night or day and I have the most spectacular views of the beautiful downtown with all the magnificent steeples and domes of the churches.

And some mornings I can watch the hot air balloons go cruising by on there accent over the hills.

And the evening is my favorite time to be on the balcony. It is so relaxing to sit and enjoy the most magnificent light shows when the sun is setting. Each night there are thousands of black birds that fly by, line after line of them headed towards the sunset and it is so quiet and peaceful that you can hear the fluttering "whoosh" of their wings as they pass over head.
Someone closeby has a parrot or a cockatoo or some kind of bird who seems to enjoy the sunsets as much as I do. Every night the bird starts singing and jabbering and whistling a continuous string of catcalls when the sun gets low in the sky and doesn't stop till the sun sets.
Each night the sunsets are different, and I wait in anticipation to see what kind of display I will be graced with.

I wish you peace, love and laughter

Hi Mom,
Wow!! What veiws from the balcony. Why was there a hot air balloon? Are they giving rides nearby, or is that the mode of flight in Mexico. I still am amazed by the brilliant colors in all of your photos. All we see around here these days is grey or gray.

The sunsets are spectacular. Enjoy every one. Thank you for enriching our lives with your magnificent photos and eloquent words. Love Heidi

How gorgeous. Thank you for sharing!

One thing I miss about not living by the ocean is the sunsets.

Hi garten-On the east coast we get the sunrises. I used to love to drive 20 minuted to the beach and watch the sun come up, but now I am pretty lazy and prefer to sleep in LOL
But believe me I am taking advantage of the beautiful sunsets every night here in SMA
